Who is Lady Rae ?

Raven Jenell Moore , the Wife , the Mother , the Sister , the Daughter, the Friend and Leading Lady.

A native of Brooklyn, NY, is a graduate of Edward R. Murrow High School. She is the youngest of three children having two older brothers.

Growing up in the Brownsville and Canarsie sections of Brooklyn, with her parents John and Jeannette Taylor, both deceased, the importance of faith and family was instilled in Raven at a young age. Growing up at Mount Moriah Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Clifton E. Durham, Raven served in various capacities as a Youth and Adult Sunday School teacher, Church Administrator, mentor to the young girls in ministry, Pastor’s Nurse, and President of the Trustee Board.

Raven is also self-sacrificing. Not only could you find her helping her mother in the church selling dinners, but after 2 years of college, she took a break from school and obtained a job to assist her mother with household responsibilities after her father passed away.

Raven worked at the Brooklyn Job Corps Academy for 10 years with underprivileged youth as a Finance Specialist, Executive Assistant, and Mentor. Her dedication and diligence to the Brooklyn Job Corp Academy caused her to establish the “MS. FITS” mentoring initiative. A program that assists young women ages 16-24 years old with redefining their identities and reaffirming their self-esteem. Due to her husband’s health challenges, Raven prioritized her family again and became her husband's primary caregiver and full-time homemaker giving her the opportunity to spend time with her three growing children. This also gave Raven a chance to work in ministry around the clock.

Raven served as a faithful member of New Life Tabernacle under the pastorate of Archbishop Eric R. Figueroa, Sr. for 13 years in the capacity of Assistant Church Administrator and a part of the Finance team. After much prayer, God opened a door in the Bronx for her husband to serve as Pastor at the Greater Zion Baptist Church. As the Leading Lady, she is totally involved and fully invested in the vision of the ministry. “Lady Rae” as she is affectionately known also serves as the Church's Administrator and President of the Women's Ministry. Raven is currently pursuing a Master of Social Work from Kean University. She shares her grace and greatness with her husband Bishop Jamel A. Moore, Sr., and is the proud mother of Skylar, Peyton, and Jamel, Jr. Her strength and her standards provide support, stability, and security for her family.  Lady Rae believes “You have to train your mind to be stronger than your emotions or you will lose yourself every time!”
