Fears & Insecurities
Happy Tuesday to the Sisterhood!

Today in Meditation I am focusing on my fears and insecurities.
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. (Ephesians 2:10, NIV)
Oftentimes, we are reluctant to answer God’s call. We can hear Him speaking to us and giving us directions, but we never act on them. Sometimes, I wonder if it’s really God I hear, or if I heard Him correctly. Other times I just don’t want to mess up or look foolish. I had to identify these things as fears and insecurities. I was fearful of failing and insecure in thinking that I wasn’t good enough for God to speak to me. We spend way too much time feeding ourselves with so many uncertainties. We were handmade by God to carry out His great works. This is not planned as you go. We must be reminded that God’s plan is already taking place. Most of all, we have to know that we are a part of his plan.
As women, we must move out of two places. The place of being safe and the place of being in control. Yes, I said it!!!!!!!!!!! There is no safer place than in the will of God, and only He can be in control there. We have to trust God enough to allow Him to move these things out of our lives. We must trust Him to have His way in our lives. It’s time to stop talking about faith and actually have faith in the God we serve. Know that, if God has put you in a situation, he will bring you out of it.
We hear the saying “What God has for me is for me”, but do we believe it? The scripture confirms the saying. God has prepared our good works in advance. So, no more worrying about if you’re good enough, rejoice in how good you're going to be!
Prayer: Lord, I thank you for thinking enough of me to include me in your will. Help me to know that you already have a plan for my life. Help me to let go of my fears, my insecurities, and anything that gets in the way of me fulfilling my purpose. In Jesus’ name, AMEN.
