Happy Wednesday To The Sisterhood

Ladies in my morning meditation I thought about how people look at others’ lives and consider them “GOALS”. But how many of you know, people show you what they want you to see?

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful; I know that full well. (Psalms 139:13-14, NIV)

Each one of us is unique in our own way. We embody differences that set us apart from one another. There is no need to COMPARE who you are to your fellow sister. COMPARING WILL BRING NEGATIVITY TO YOUR PLACE OF PEACE AND PURPOSE.

My mother has always told me never to envy another’s life because you don’t know what it took for them to get where they are. She taught me to love my own story. We must realize that there are some things that we will never get to experience in this life. I am guilty of wondering why God didn’t give me certain talents that some of my peers have. I am even more guilty of trying to mimic some of those gifts that were not given to me. All I did was cause myself to be in a place of stress and disappointment. When you begin comparing what others HAVE to what you HAVE NOT, you lose your PLACE OF PEACE and PURPOSE.

We have to remember that when God made us, He made us SPECIAL. He took His time with every detail, not for us to try to be something else or someone else, but for us to be the best at what we were made to be. Instead of trying to change what God has designed us to be, we have to love our own life’s story. Your testimony is constructed to help others along the way so that your living won’t be in vain.

Don’t be distracted by the devil’s plan to make you lose focus by dangling your sister’s life in your face. Envy is the trick of the enemy to steal your joy and to set your mind on something other than serving God with a grateful heart.

Prayer: Father God, thank you for how you have blessed me thus far. Lord, I thank you for me being me. I appreciate the gifts that you have assigned to my life. Help me Lord to be the best me that you would have me to be. In Jesus’ name, AMEN.
